St. Aloysius Community (SAC) groups are a type of house system used in our middle school program. These groups are made up of a mix of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students with a teacher moderator. The groups are each assigned a patron saint for the year and complete a variety of lessons, tasks, service, and social events. Our community groups are:
St. Cecilia
St. Francis of Assisi
St. Juan Diego
St. Martin De Porres
St. Michael
St. Monica
St. Theresa of Calcutta
St. Vincent DePaul
This system gives 8th graders a leadership opportunity as well as helps new 6th graders adjust to middle school life. In the past, groups have trained with Special Olympic athletes, visited local nursing homes, done charity fundraisers, and much more as they focus on putting their Catholic faith into action, even at a young age.
