I have aspired to be in the teaching field since I was in second grade. This dream pushed me to earn my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Minor in Special Education from Marian University in Indianapolis, IN. I have completed numerous trainings and certifications; i.e.: National Autism Society Conference, Conscious Discipline, Safe Crisis Management; Language Development in the Early Childhood Classroom, Catechesis Trainings, as well as many others. In Spring of 2017 I was selected to the KY All Stars Leadership Academy along with 177 other Early Childhood educators from the state of KY. There is nothing I love more than teaching to the individual child. Meeting them where they are, providing them what they need, and watching them soar.
I have devoted thirty-two years of my life loving children, watching them succeed in the classroom, and witnessing God work in their lives. I started my journey in education as a counselor and have since taught in the first, third, and fifth grade general education classrooms; as well as special needs resource and preschool special needs. I spent twelve years as a stay-at-home-mother, but kept my passion fed by teaching and directing typical preschools.
It has been a priority to mentor my teachers, sharing the knowledge I have gained through my years of diverse experience and trainings. With all of this in mind, I strive to maintain an exceptional preschool where our children can grow academically, physically, and spiritually in a play-based environment. My goal is to help each child develop a positive self-image, improve socialization skills, develop independence to explore their world, and to prepare them for the next step in their education.
