Born and raised in Louisville, I attended St. Raphael, Assumption High School, then Bellarmine University. I graduated from Bellarmine in December of 2014 with a dual degree in Elementary Education and Learning Behavior Disorders.
In my first year teaching, I am thrilled to be able to bring new, innovative lessons and ideas into the classroom. I set high expectations for myself, and expect the same from my students, both academically and behaviorally. I believe in creating a family atmosphere within my classroom where all of the students feel safe and comfortable to explore their growing minds.
All students have abilities and talents, and part of the joy of being a teacher is seeing where students’ lights shine. I believe teachers should educate students to be independent problem solvers. As an educator, my students will be challenged mentally, as well as spiritually, to give the best of themselves consistently.
Fortunately, being in the Catholic school setting gives an opportunity to engage in the spiritual journey of each student. I look forward to igniting the love of learning within all of my future students.
